Geographical & Environmental Studies are relevant to anyone interested in the relationship between human beings and the environments in which they live.  The Discipline of Geographical & Environmental Studies offers a wide range of programs that combine the physical and social sciences and provide students with the conceptual frameworks and critical thinking skills to make sense of the complex relationships and processes that shape our contemporary world.  By choosing to study the Bachelor of Environmental Policy & Management or to put Geographical & Environmental Studies at the heart of your Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Social Sciences degree will offer you the opportunities to explore important issues, such as climate change, global migration and urban development from a wide variety of perspectives with the emphasis on social justice and ecological, social and cultural sustainability.

Studying Geographical & Environmental Studies is about being an active part of global social and environmental change, and the creation of just and sustainable societies and environments.  Students who study Geographical & Environmental Studies gain the knowledge base, critical thinking and analytical skills, and practical and specialised skills, which make them highly employable in both government and the private sector. 

You will be able to offer an employer some of the following stengths:
